Reasons To Adopt Shelter Pets

You may have heard the catchphrase Adopt, Don’t Shop. This is a great mantra! While there are definitely some wonderful and responsible breeders out there, there are also many who, unfortunately, are more concerned with profits than the welfare of the pets they are breeding and selling. With pet overpopulation continuing to be a major problem, going through a shelter is one of the best things that you can do to help promote good animal welfare. There are benefits to you as well. You’ll be able to pick the perfect pet out of dozens—or hundreds—of adorable dogs or cats. You’ll also find that going through a shelter is much easier on the wallet than going through a bank.
